Romanian ethnic jewerly

A phrase I have found recently and I liked a lot " Romanians took the flowers from the field and put them in traditional costumes to mirror the beauty of the sunny lands".
Although I'm not a great supporter of traditional clothing, in many of my creations, I've tried to give a little from Romanian authentic beauty; floral motifs....my favorites, can be found in most of my necklaces.

As I said before, the inspiration comes from everything around me, could be a specific season or a childhood memory, or daily life, from nature and colors, the ideas come one after another, only it takes time to mix them and create a new necklace.
But not in this case; for this necklace, which I am very proud of it, the ideas and my hands moved very fast, it was just a flash of inspiration that I put it into practice.

The proposal came from overseas, namely, to make a statement necklace that will accessorize a white blouse, which will remind of Romanian peasant blouse. I'm most proud that the one who'll wear this necklace will attend a Romanian festival in Canada.😍
Made in basic colors of Romanian embroidery, red, black and white, with floral motifs ... of course, this necklace will attract everyone attention, for sure!!!
I like it so much as I will try other combinations of colors and one for sure I will keep it to myself.

But....I praised enough, now let's take a view of the Ballad of Flowers .

I took pictures on a white linen blouse, a peasant blouse, and also on the black one, as I'm a big fan of " dress in black" and colorful accessories ... what else?
The necklace is made entirely from high quality cotton thread, no metal contained or other allergenic materials and an idea of how you can personalize a simple blouse ..... by applying the necklace as embroidery and the effect is great, don't you agree ?

" MY UNIQUENESS IS MY EFFECTIVENESS "

I recently found this statement, when I was looking for orchid's symbolism and I was surprised to find out that orchids are flowers of Aquarius sign, which is my sign.....by the way ;)
That's why, I dedicated this post and my orchid creations to all Aquarius friends, whom their spirit is always exuberant and nonconformist.
Mid-winter, missing the spring and the only color that caught my attention were orchids from my window. Because they are the only flowers that bloom every winter in my house, I realised that I don't have these beautifull flowers in my " crochet garden "
So, here there are :
Graceful and almost artistic, orchid flowers represents love, beauty, loyalty and power. 
They are part of the largest plant family in the world and they cand vary in size and colors, as my crochet orchids.
Wild orchids can be found in the highest mountains, but also in the plains at the sea level.
Now, the wild orchid grown up in my collection and it's pink as it seems that is the favourite orchids of Aquarius sign.

WILD ORCHID

The set contains a necklace, bracelet and assorted earrings. They are made from a special gradient microfiber thread, in beautifull color tones of light green, pink and purple. Also, I've attached long tassels, because they are so chic and fashionable. The cord of the necklace could be twisted or simple straight, as you'll see in my photos listing from my etsy store.  

As I said before, on my window there are some orchids, but I have only a few colors ( white, yellow, pink and purple ); I would love to have a larger space and collect many more; until then, I have "collected" beautifull crochet orchids that can be worn as necklaces or brooches, if you'll I attach a safety pin....it's so simple and easier to have 2 in 1 accesories.
I've selected 7 colors which I have seemed most representative for orchids.

Pink, again pink, I couldn't set at one model so I've made to different pink orchids, that represents joy and happiness 
The yellow one stands for friendship and new beginnings
Lavender orchid symbolizes grace and feminine beauty
The purple one as the color of royalty.
And the orange orchid which is full of pride and boldness

I couldn't finish my collection without a babywearing necklace. With bright and vibrant colors of pink and green and tiny orchids, this necklace will be a lovely accesory for breastfeeding moms....but not only

Christmas necklaces

I love Christmas and I like to get into the holidays spirit, especially since I become a mother.  Every year, I try to keep the Christmas traditions alive and to give to my daughters the joy of receiving and sharing with loved ones.
Christmas, the most beautiful holiday of the year, is a magic celebration, but the magic comes from us and only us can keep it in our souls and pass it along.
Decorating the Christmas tree with my girls, their glittery eceys, when they open the Christmas gifts, carols around the Christmas tree, house full of my loved ones gathered around the Christmas table and all the delicious flavors ..... yeap, this is how it looks like Christmas for me and it's magic!!!!

Like always, my inspiration comes from things and moments that surround me, so I couldn't miss the Christmas models from my necklaces collection.

With a little magic dust and well-known colors of Christmas, I've just finished the necklace Christmas Magic; with a cheerful and childish look, this necklace will bring a smile to one who would wear it and certainly, she will not let to lose the magic of Christmas.

A little bit more elegant, with crocheted balls colored in green and silver fir, the necklace Christmas Flower was inspired also from Christmas traditions,well that Christmas Flower can't miss in any house in this period; whether we give or receive it, this flower brings beauty and harmony in our lives, around Christmas time.

The Christmas globes couldn't miss in my collection, so I've created a cheerful and colorful necklace, as I like to decorate my Christmas tree : not red, not blue, not gold or silver, but multicolored...so that looks the Christmas Joy necklace.

What would be winter without snow ? Well....even though lately we don't have snow during the holidays, the snowflakes could not miss in my collection, even so wearing it around the neck.
FROZEN necklace, colored in winter pastels, will remember you about the icey flowers from windows and frosty days, but still beautiful and magical days..

These are my Christmas necklaces collection; they could be worn by everyone who loves handmade products, especially the breastfeeding mommies, as they are made from natural wood balls and rings and cotton yarn, very safe and easier care.

Crochet hats - part I

After several months of absence on my blog, I came back with a lot of surprises. Among nursing necklaces and crocheted flowers for my beautiful ladies, I have dedicated my time to the little ones, and opened a new collection of skirts and crocheted hats, cheerful and colorful. The skirts will have to wait to introduce them to you, but today I will boast myself with several hats and matching accessories.
First of them is for a dear friend, for which I've created a set with poppies; the source of inspiration was not mine, but I still tried to add a bit of my imagination and this is what came out

The set consists of a summer hat for girls and a matching necklace for mom.
The pattern for the hat I,ve inspired is here; it is a simple and much effect pattern , cotton crochet thread and slightly airy hat can be worn both in spring and cool summer evenings.

I've created also for a princess, called Sophia, a purple hat with multicolored flowers and butterflies. The pattern is the most common and easier, the double stitches pattern , but especially for this hat is the edge, which I've made it flexible and easier to arranged in any position, thanks to my idea of using a flexible metal wire. Because it is not a particular model, I would say that it is an unique hat; the idea can be replicated...of course, as well as colors, but you can choose any other colour and flowers.

For the next two hats, I took inspiration from some of the most common colors mix, rainbow and rasta.
I think, everybody knows that rainbow consists of seven colors, although in reality it consists of a whole range of colors with a graduated transfer from one to another, so-called continuous spectrum. From wealth of these intense colors of a rainbow, I chose only 10 ... .don't ask me why, so I liked, as it seems Newton liked and chose the magic formula of 7 colors and no one asked him why?
How do you feel when you see a rainbow ... ..do you feel hope, optimism, peace, sun, heat ? as so many feelings I gathered in my rainbow hat, and also in the matching necklace created especially for breastfeeding moms, but not only......

Full of optimism is also the RASTA set, inspired by the colors of Rastafari movement; considered by some people as a cult, others, a lifestyle, for me,  the source of inspiration for a boy hat and a pendant necklace, created in the same style and colors. It is not necessarily a style that represents me, rather I feel drawn to the hippie style, but I like the idea of ​​freedom and back to the mother nature. That being said, here is the set:

I don't like to celebrate, but I'm always like to accesorized ;)
I've seen these days pro/contra opinions about this holiday; .... I'm somewhere between, I can not say that I don't like it, but I don't dislike it so bad; what I don't like ...... well, those hideous costumes  of skeletons and vampires full of blood and disfigured faces, brrrr .... look terrible; instead, I like pumpkins carved and decorated, even to eat them, they are so tasty in any form of cooking .... yummii.
But I'm not talking about this holiday, and about SWEET PUMPKIN set, a necklace with assorted bead earrings, made to a mothers' whish who wanted to wear something in tune with the Halloween kids party.
So, the necklace can be worn by any breastfeeding mother, the little ones will surely be delighted by the contrast between the two colors, bright orange and duck egg color (I don't know how to say in english).
Like all of my babywearing necklaces, not only breastfeeding mothers can worn it, but anyone who loves art and especially handmade crocheted accessories; that's why I've made also, assorted earrings.

Necklace " Minted rose "

For this necklace, I have chosen a color mix that reminds me the two most popular flavors: mint and rose.
One of the most popular herbs, mint spoils us with her slightly acrid scent but also refreshing; The mint's benefits are countless, so being a herb used in medicine, cosmetics, but also in gastronomy.
About rose flavour ... who doesn't know it ?? Sweet and romantic, slightly oriental flavor, this will always awaken fond memories from my childhood, associating it with one of my favorite desserts: rose sherbet.

Currently, the combination of this two flavors is widely used in the preparation of cosmetics products and seems to blend successfully.
So, here is my minted rose mix flavour :

The necklace is the perfect choice for breastfeeding moms, because it's made from natural wooden beads and cotton thread. For a plus of harmony, I've added a crocheted flower, which looks like a rose with mint color.

Necklace " spring sensation "

It's true that we're already count the spring in calendar, but the true heralds of spring are these beautifull flowers that greets you with their smile and fragrance ..... the daffodils; it's says that when the daffodils bloom, the winter is not coming back. Oooo ..... yes, we can enjoy of warmth and sun and all nature that comes to life.
About daffodils were written some legends, some of them with religious symbolism, but the one I liked the most, is the legend of Narcissus, a Romanian folk legend, which you can read here. ( only in romanian language )
Inspired by these flowers, I've created a beautiful necklace with spring flowers, which I called "Spring Sensation", because every time I wear it ...... I make sensation. I chose a yellow daffodil with whom I added two bouquets of violets and some delicate crocuses.

I used cotton thread, which is very resistant even washing in automatic machine;) 

The necklace has a length of 60 cm, if you want to adjust the length I can add a classic chain lock.

Necklace " Midnight delight "

OH, WHAT FUN IS TO BE A FAIRY, TRY OUT OUR MIDNIGHT DARE !!!!!!

I've recently visited Pelisorul castle, the beautiful castle which has the mark of Queen Maria. And for my great delight I learned that the Queen's favorite flowers were lilies and iris ....... flowers you can admire in all paintings made by the queen, in decoration on the walls and furniture. I'll assure you that it's worth to take delight in such beauty and even now I may seem subjective in preferences, I admit ... I like more Pelisorul castle (more intimate, warmer and so chic), than Peles castle.
So, this was my inspiration for this statement necklace, accessorised with earrings in the the same color tones; the magnificent lilly together with the shy iris, laid on a bed of leaves in autumnal colors from green to purple shadows and glow gold .... just like the moon pours rays in the midnight hour.
