Christmas necklaces

I love Christmas and I like to get into the holidays spirit, especially since I become a mother.  Every year, I try to keep the Christmas traditions alive and to give to my daughters the joy of receiving and sharing with loved ones.
Christmas, the most beautiful holiday of the year, is a magic celebration, but the magic comes from us and only us can keep it in our souls and pass it along.
Decorating the Christmas tree with my girls, their glittery eceys, when they open the Christmas gifts, carols around the Christmas tree, house full of my loved ones gathered around the Christmas table and all the delicious flavors ..... yeap, this is how it looks like Christmas for me and it's magic!!!!

Like always, my inspiration comes from things and moments that surround me, so I couldn't miss the Christmas models from my necklaces collection.

With a little magic dust and well-known colors of Christmas, I've just finished the necklace Christmas Magic; with a cheerful and childish look, this necklace will bring a smile to one who would wear it and certainly, she will not let to lose the magic of Christmas.

A little bit more elegant, with crocheted balls colored in green and silver fir, the necklace Christmas Flower was inspired also from Christmas traditions,well that Christmas Flower can't miss in any house in this period; whether we give or receive it, this flower brings beauty and harmony in our lives, around Christmas time.

The Christmas globes couldn't miss in my collection, so I've created a cheerful and colorful necklace, as I like to decorate my Christmas tree : not red, not blue, not gold or silver, but multicolored...so that looks the Christmas Joy necklace.

What would be winter without snow ? Well....even though lately we don't have snow during the holidays, the snowflakes could not miss in my collection, even so wearing it around the neck.
FROZEN necklace, colored in winter pastels, will remember you about the icey flowers from windows and frosty days, but still beautiful and magical days..

These are my Christmas necklaces collection; they could be worn by everyone who loves handmade products, especially the breastfeeding mommies, as they are made from natural wood balls and rings and cotton yarn, very safe and easier care.

Santorini blue inspiration

Summer has come and more and more we are day dreaming at holiday, in the mountain, to the sea or other exotic places that we need so much to recharge our batteries; but until then, I invite you to spend a day in an enchanting place, an island in the Aegean Sea, where old and new blend perfectly in an unique style ... .guess where, in Santorini island. A magic place with spectacular beaches, landscapes, ancient cities, great restaurants and a still active volcano, and well-known blue domes of Santorini which are delicated mixed with white traditional houses.
With these thoughts and memories, I've made two creations for the contest Santorini blue, on the site Crafty, and still working on the third ...... but until then ....

The first item was inspired by red beach in Santorini, probably one of the most spectacular beaches in Greece.

What could be nicer than a morning walk and a coffee, admiring the beautiful chromatic scenery; it is a true visual spectacle and a little bit scary I could say......the green - turquoise - blue colours of the sea that blends harmoniously with the red sand, surrounded by walls of reddish volcanic rocks.
All of these I 've assembled in this beautiful crocheted accessory, adding also a few shells and stones picked up just on the Aegean coast. For extra shine, I inserted some fine sand beads, in the same colors with yarns.

Initially I was thinking to make a neck necklace, but you know I like 2 in 1 accessories , therefore I've made a longer cord, so that it can be used as a belt ... .why not? The earrings were made as the  wavy lines of the sea and they are perfectly matching this unique and original set.

If the sun is too hot in the afternoon and we don't want to spend our holiday suffering from burns and headaches, I invite you to a shopping session, because Santorini is a shopper's paradise.
About this, I'll tell you later... I hope next days when I'll finish the third workpiece for the contest.

And finally ... the evening is coming and whether you would like to see the sunset on the beach, or you 'd like to feel the absolute freedom and have fun in traditional Greek style, Santorini offers you wonderful places for unforgettable evenings with nice memories. For such an evening, I've created the set Chain of life, consisting of a necklace and a pair of earrings that suits perfectly to a casual, feminine attire, ideal for a dream atmosphere.

The colors of this set were not chosen by chance, turquoise and gold can be found in my lovely dress, bought some years ago from Santorini; the dress was also my inspiration source for this set. The starting point was the pattern on the dress embroidered with golden thread, an ancient Greek symbol originate in Santorini,  the running spiral. This symbol appears frequently on painted walls of Thera and altars of Akrotiri and represents eternity, infinity, endlessness, called chain of life without beggining or ending.
Well......my chain is not like these spirals endlessness, because it has a beggining and ending, and it's like a geometrical balanced shape as life without balance don't brings you that inner harmony that we all need.

So, here are my Santorini blue creations, I hope you'll like them and we'll hearing soon with new summer items :)

" Shabby chic" necklaces

"Shabby chic" is a style that I really like, whereas combines hamoniously the old and the new, by highlighting forgotten things ..... another passion of mine;)

Coming back to my collection, I named so because they are made of recycled fabrics, indian sari silk and I could say ... .. they look 'tres chic'.

Since I was a little I liked to " play " with different type of materials and do stuff, such as flowers, brooches, ribbons or clothes for dolls. Lucky me I had a stock of recycled fabrics, at that time my grandfather worked at a textile factory and was gathering material samples all the time; not to mention the clothes cut and modified, so many things have passed through my hands  ....

Recently, all these actions merge in a single word: recycling, nothing throws away, everything changes; Searching on net for recycled textile ideas, I found all kind of wonders, made from scrap materials (yarns, strips) left over from the manufacture of the famous indian tunics, Sari type ... .and it was love of first sight ;)

How many things you can create with these materials, from brooches and necklaces to jackets, bags and other decoration items.

Their beauty is that they are full of texture, rich and vibrant colors and no one is alike to each other.

That's why, the Shabby Chic jewells are unique and I invite you to admire my unique necklaces.

Necklace " Autumn bouquet "

It's autumn outside, but not in my soul
Only the rustle leaves that fall gently, always saddens me
But no I'm no sad at all, because autumn brings with it
Thousands of warm colors and wealth everywhere.

Yes, according to calendar, it began the fall season and we take full advantage of what offers us this charming season.
From beautiful landscapes and multicolored harvest, to the first day of school with all kinds of emotions. Because nature and flowers were always, my best source of inspiration,I created a beautiful necklace for fall collection; a multicolored  bouquet with the most representative autumn flowers, aster or callistephus.

I'm in love with these flowers since I was a child and I was playing in grandparents' garden, a garden full of colors and many flowers as asters and dahlias.
Known as the aster (star) or Callistephus (the most beautiful crown), this flower symbolizes fidelity, grace, strength and love.
There are so many legends about the appearance of these flowers on earth, considered sacred flower for Greek and Roman gods; one of this legends said that Asteria (goddess of stars) started to cry, being upset that earth didn't have stars; so, her tears turned into aster flowers.


From legends since today, it says that this flower could be offer to someone you love and appreciate her elegance, but also patience ..... an essential element when creating something.
So, with great care and patience, from my love to flowers and colors and from my handmade passion, it appeared necklace "Autumn bouquet"; a necklace that will brighten any dreary autumn day;
very important thing, as all my creations , this necklace is unique and original;)

Necklace " Midnight delight "

OH, WHAT FUN IS TO BE A FAIRY, TRY OUT OUR MIDNIGHT DARE !!!!!!

I've recently visited Pelisorul castle, the beautiful castle which has the mark of Queen Maria. And for my great delight I learned that the Queen's favorite flowers were lilies and iris ....... flowers you can admire in all paintings made by the queen, in decoration on the walls and furniture. I'll assure you that it's worth to take delight in such beauty and even now I may seem subjective in preferences, I admit ... I like more Pelisorul castle (more intimate, warmer and so chic), than Peles castle.
So, this was my inspiration for this statement necklace, accessorised with earrings in the the same color tones; the magnificent lilly together with the shy iris, laid on a bed of leaves in autumnal colors from green to purple shadows and glow gold .... just like the moon pours rays in the midnight hour.
